Is your fire-resistant clothing keeping you safe?
When was the last time you checked to see if your FR clothing was protecting you from the dangerous work you do? You think today might be a good day to do that?

It’s crazy right? There are companies out there that would put a misleading tag on their fire-resistant apparel and gear. Don’t get caught with your pants on fire. Revisit NFPA70E andNFPA2112, read your tags and make sure your equipment is up to par.
One more thing, remember that flame-resistant does not mean fire-proof!
FR clothing refers to the ability for the garment to self-extinguish. So, don’t be taking chances playing around with propane and matches—it won’t end well.
