Gas Detection (Sniff out Gases & Snuff out Danger): Bacon's Safety Tip

Let’s just say that relying on your sense of smell when it comes to detecting gas or toxic contaminants is one of the dumbest things Bacon has both seen and heard on a job site.  If you want to keep workers safe from the dangers of asphyxiation, death or explosions, then you might want to know the right ways to detect gas and avoid catastrophe. That starts with providing the right gas detection devices in hazardous atmospheres.

Here are better ways to detect dangerous gases on the job:

Don’t give workers a false sense of security. Make sure they know the seriousness of confined space risks and the importance of using gas monitors. The only way to protect your workers is to give them the right equipment and training on confined spaces and deadly gases. Use your brain, not your snout.
