## Foot protection is about more than a steel toe and slip-resistance, especially if you work around electricity.

 Do you know what the difference is between electric hazards **(EH)** and electric static dissipation **(ESD)**?  OSHA’s [foot protection standard 29 CFR 1910.136](https://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owadisp.show_document?p_table=standards&p_id=9786) requires that employees wear protective boots or shoes if there is risk for injury to the feet— *that includes **exposure to electrical hazards.
